Went on a summer evening with the sun out. Would not drive on as slow going and parking difficulty would recommend walking along. A few touristy shops and lots of restaurants to choose from. Some got takeaways and sat out on the pier. Good ice...More

Great wharf to wander along with restaurants, live music etc. We ate at the Seashore I think it was - right at the far end. Prepare to wait a bit but worth it.

Nice walk up to the end and around the beach there. A couple small restaurants at the end of the pier. Construction all around at this time of visit. 90 min free parking on the pier.

Spent a week in town. Wharf has several good restaurants, magicians, and a sea museum. Scenic views of city. Pay for valet - tips only- and easy on and off

This is an easy detour for you. They have little shops and a couple of great restaurants. You can drive onto the old wooden pier too. If you go for lunch don't miss the Shellfish Company at the end. Worth every bite.

How much is it to fish? Do they have pole rental? Do you need a permit? We are traveling to town for a wedding and looking for something for the boys to do

There used to be "no fishing" signs which were not enforced. Now there are signs for designated fishing areas. I believe that there is no overhead casting. . .for the sake of fellow visitors, I imagine. There is a bait... More
