Nice and very clean. We love the walk on the beach and were able to climb on the steps with a very brief break lol

Not exactly 1000 steps, but was up for the challenge. Need to be very careful when going down the stairs...but when you do...paradise awaits! Didn't check the tide, a little high, but was still able to walk on the beach. So relaxing and the view amazing. Definitely need to visit!

The thousand step beach is actually 150 stone steps down to the beach. There are no rails and the steps are very worn in some places and slippery when wet. No access at high tide so make sure you don't get caught. Not good for strollers. Also a lot of tar on the beach so make sure you have tar... More

Thousand Steps Beach is Worth the Steps! The views are amazing and the fresh salty sea air sometimes cooler - so dress in layers!

Plenty of dog walkers and not all were diligent about cleaning up after their animals. At least the beach is cleaned by the tide daily!

There is not a lot of shoreline here, but is still a beautiful beach to visit. Don't mind the steps, they really aren't that bad.

Sure feels like a 1000 steps when you head back up to street level. We stayed close and could walk to the access stairs. Nice quiet location away from the main beach area by the marina. Would recommend this location for quiet time and a perfect place to let the kids play.

Ok, it might not be 1000 steps but it sure seemed like it. I was surprised to see the elderly making the jaunt down and back up. The beach is pretty vacant since it takes some effort to come back up. Go it you can.

Our hotel front desk clerk recommended this place too us. If you didn't know it was there, you could easily miss it. So after breakfast, we ventured out to find it. Even though it says 1000 steps, (which my husband was really worried about climbing back up) it wasn't more like 100 steps. I didn't count though. Once we got... More

Lot's of steps down, around 250, but very pretty, and worth it. It can be a bit tough getting back up to the top though, even if you are in fairly good shape. Take water!!! Parking in the neighborhood was pretty easy for us.
