Keep walking up the SB main drag (State Street) till you come to this outstanding passeo (passage) at Figuroa. Fun art, fun shops, fun food options & great photo ops. Plus, you gotta see the Famous Turtle Fountain

MUST VISIT! Beautiful Courtyard full of art, statues and fountains. Shady seating terraces with a real European vibe. Check out the turtles basking in the sun in the fountain pool. Stop for breakfast/brunch at Jeanines.

An adorable little arcade full of art, restaurants, shops and a turtle pond. My favorite stop is always the bronze statues and the best shop in my opinion is the ecclectic store with the "windo Washer" bronze. And right around the corner is Andersen's Danish...More

Small children will be interested in the working sculptures, as indeed adults will be. The turtles are also interesting to watch.

Surprise! The fellow that looks like he is cleaning the window isn’t real. But let him lure you from State Street into the courtyard. Have someone take your photo sitting next to a bronze Ben Franklin. Then peak into the art gallery on the corner...More

The Arcada has several restaurants and also terrific "little shops! Le Petite Valtien, Jenines and the other restaurants are all delightful for different reasons.

La Arcada was built in 1926. Today it's like a pretty outdoor mall with tile-lined walkways, fountains, sidewalk cafes and sculptures. The highlight was a fountain full of turtles.

This courtyard is right off State and has some touristy kitsch (bronze window washer, etc) but a good and dense array of tasting room, art gallery, coffee shop, 5 restaurnants, etc.

A historic paseo on State street, with something for everyone. Interesting statues, shops, food, and of course, the turtles in the fountain!
