With such stunning views of the ocean, it is hard to complain much about this course. But, as noted by a previous reviewer, this place needs TLC. One clear problem that could be easily remedied is the greens. Does anybody check them in the morning, ensuring all divots have been repaired? Or, are the regular golfers here so inconsiderate that... More

Sandpiper is often referred to as the "poor man's Pebble Beach" because of the property it occupies. Five holes border the Pacific Ocean. The course begins slowly. The first five holes are just average but the course begins to build in quality. As you reach number ten the course is in full flower and hugs the coastline for the next... More

This place breaks your heart. So many elements to make it a breathtaking municipal and a true must play course. The entire operation is a mess however. Certainly not worth the exorbitant greens fees.

This course is not maintained. Goose droppings all over the 18th green. There are great views but that is it. $160 and you have to purchase drinking water. We cancelled our second round and played a nearby municipal course that was well maintained for one fourth the price. If your a real golfer skip this course.

I played this course same time last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year was very disappointing. The course condition was very poor. A lot of the fairways were average at best. On many of the greens areas of grass had died back, so there were bare patches. Some greens were like a patchwork quilt with the repairs. By contrast... More

Best course in the area of Santa Barbara. Back nine along the sea is wonderful. Grill is ok but not more. Enjoy it.

This golf course is a MUST PLAY if you are in the area. The course is kept up in great shape, and greens were some of the fastest I've played on. It was quite challenging but extremely fun. There are a handful of holes that are positioned steps away from the Ocean, and you really feel like you are at... More

The course is great but the grill is a real secret. Where else can you sit outside admiring the Pacific over rolling green fairways. The place was empty! We savored a tasty grilled sandwich and just admired the sunlight on the waves.

Ok. It's a beautiful setting. Coastal cliffs on which to hunt and hit your ball. But at what price? A high one, that's what. Dinky clubhouse, small grill, no bar to speak of. Glen Annie, across the freeway and up the hills offers better views, good golf AND a good bar/restaurant clubhouse for less than Half the money. Go once,... More

Actually, the view from tis course is better than Pebble Beach, the course is not, but it does not suck. You get the ocean, channel islands and local mountains all in one for most of the journey around the links. The course itself is challenging and ocean breezes can add to the difficulty.
