Interesting California History section in the basement

Small art museum on the Santa Clara University campus. We especially enjoyed the California History section---mainly about the mission in the basement.

Free and hours are usually 11 thru 5 Closed for maintenance, repairs and updating Building is quite attractive Will reopen April 8 Seems kinda small but understand it has rotating exhibits including student shows If you're on or near the campus, you should stop by and support the arts

A very pleasant museum located on the campus of Santa Clara University . We visited it as part of an exploratory trip of the campus. We were very impressed.

Like: free admission. It's worth that Dislike: have yet to see enjoyable show. Museum is one room that rotates shows. Over 2 years of living near I have no seen a show that I liked. Gift shop way overpriced and dull

Disappointingly small and uninspired. I wish the Triton down the street would loan them some taste! The place is dark and poorly lit. The space is very badly layed out. The rooms are small, and there is no where to really sit and study a piece. It's right next to the Mission Santa Clara--and that just makes it worse, because... More

This is a good art museum that is open for free on the Santa Clara University Campus. The permanent collections focus on 1) Mission Santa Clara de Asís History - the Mission itself is a couple minutes walk away from the museum. 2) Santa Clara Valley and Santa Clara University History They also have an exhibit that they normally change... This is a wonderful find on the campus of Santa Clara University. If you are near or on campus, plan a visit to see a wide variety of art. Don't miss the Spanish Colonial exhibits on the lowest floor.

This is a great little gem that has some fascinating historical context for the town and mission of Santa Clara. The entire museum can be viewed and reviewed in 30-40 minutes.

The top floor of the museum holds the non-permament collection which means...NO PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!!!! I, however, learned that the hard way and got followed around by noisy girls (who work there) the rest of the time I was there. I got a bit annoyed but that's how museums operate, pals! =) Lolz!!!!! The permanent collection (located on the bottom floor) allowed... More
