Loved the lighthouse. Has some great old photos of surfers that I really liked. I purchased two of the VW bug cars with the surfboards on top. Really cute.

The Lighthouse wasn't as big as I expected, and you can't go up inside it. A surfing museum is inside, but it was closed on the day we were there. The point is a very nice, comfortable area to walk around, good walkways, good parking and great views of the bay, & surfers. We enjoyed it.

We stopped here because we were told that the monarchs came here during their migration. Normally they are at natural bridges, but they came here because of the rain. We walked through the little woods area and saw thousands of butterflies in the trees! They cover the branches and look like pretty orange clusters. We stood and watched for a... More

This was the first brick lighthouse that I have seen and really enjoyed it. The twisted cypress trees on the outside added to its character. I was thrilled to see all of the surfing activity in the vicinity and it was a cool Santa Cruz vibe. It was great to see the locals below and the crabs go in and... More

After a day of driving and enjoying the coast, coming back to Santa Cruz, we decided to continue on past our hotel and see surfing above the beach area. We watched them, meanwhile seeing an old lighthouse. It was convertd into a Surfer Museum! Original surfer equipment displayed made me realize how much the sport has changed!

The coast in this area is really beautiful. We were pleased to find parking and walking trails. We hope to return.

Being a Lighthouse nut, I found this one interesting, but it is not one of the historic lighthouses. It has a really interesting use in that it is a Surfing Museum. Small Museum but lots of history about surfing in the area.

A nice stop on the West Cliff circuit. Even the kids enjoyed looking at the old surf memorabilia. We took some great pictures and then spent some time watching all the surfers below.

A must stop for any tourist interested in Santa Cruz Surf History. Not a very large museum with limited hours, but it has some great photos and surfboards on display. And, the location is a great place to see some surfers, provided the surf is up, and experience the diversified Santa Cruz culture. From here you can walk along West... More

I have had many years of enjoying this pretty lighthouse. This was the first time I seen it light up the sky. Very wonderful.
