Relatively new campus with modern building scattered among a beautiful forest. A lovely botanical garden features the local flora. Can't vouch for any of the services (e.g. for food or beverage), but driving around and catching views of the Bay and the many agriculture areas (some with critters) is worth a visit.

I attend UCSC and the campus is beautiful. It's like we are in a forest and there are deer, turkey, and redwoods as high as you can imagine.

Just an amazing landscape; everything from rolling fields to redwoods to the research centre by the ocean; and fresh air and great architecture. The forest setting must be pretty unique and a variety of architectural styles for each college, all of whom feel appropriate to their setting. I think as far as I know that students get a well rounded... More

Fantastic redwoods and meadow vistas alternate. Don't miss the walkways that lead through 'cathedral groves' or the dramatic bridges. Both McHenry Library and the Science Library offer dramatic vistas. Renowned Southwestern architect Antoine Predock built the Music Center, which boasts the best 400-seat hall on the west coast — why 'best'? Because you can 'tune' it by extending curtains, so... I took a quick drive up the campus road before leaving town and was blown away by how beautiful this campus is. You wind your way up a small road up a long hill surrounded by old barns, rolling green hills with cows, and at one point you can pull off at a vista point to see the city and... More

UCSC is a bastion of Left wing indoctrination. There is also a pall of anti- Israel and anti-Semitic activity on campus. The faculty and administration are far too politicized to deliver a valuable and well rounded education and students are discouraged from open minded investigation of issues. UCSC represents everything bad about many universities in America. The exception is the... More

Walked and drove around UC Santa Cruz's campus during the winter break. The views of the Pacific Ocean from the aquatics center are breath taking.

My boyfriend and I both graduated from UCSC and we have not visited the campus for almost 10 years. Coming back to visit our alma mater was like we never left. The views are breathtaking. Walking and exploring the campus with our dog was fun. Best time to visit is during the holidays when the students have gone home.

This is my second time to take my son to visit the campus. We saw deer this time!Of course the academic rigor blends effortlessly with the artistic endeavors of the student body to creat an inviting campus for all.

I graduated from this fine University in 1998. Best professors, classes, hikes, views and experiences.
