I guess it all depends on what you go to the beach to do. I go to just admire the view, have a leisurely stroll and search out sea glass. I’ve had a month in California and without a doubt this is the best location...More

There are better beaches if you are thinking be in the water. But this is a great one to fly a kite. Usually there is a good wind. Good walking beach too.

Best for a picnic with young children. No cliff to negotiate. Not a nude beach . Waddell creek warm enough to wade or swim. Kite surfers fun to watch. Rest room on Beach/

Have been walking this beach since 1969. First dip in the Pacific very cold, still a very beautiful place. It has changed in that there is parking, bathrooms and more people. The surf kits are colorful.

A wonderful place to watch some of most daring wind surfers and para sailers on the north coast. There is adequate parking. If you have time walk in to the park and experience the upper trail for a nice 5 mile loop. Beware, there is...More

No transport I am aware of, don't know anyone who has hiked back up the mountain. Have picked up fiends at the coast end.
