We had our share of Santa Cruz beaches and were heading out and I read about this beach with kite surfing. I had never really seen it so we wanted to come and check it out. It was pretty cool. The drive up to the...More

There are better beaches if you are thinking be in the water. But this is a great one to fly a kite. Usually there is a good wind. Good walking beach too.

Best for a picnic with young children. No cliff to negotiate. Not a nude beach . Waddell creek warm enough to wade or swim. Kite surfers fun to watch. Rest room on Beach/

Have been walking this beach since 1969. First dip in the Pacific very cold, still a very beautiful place. It has changed in that there is parking, bathrooms and more people. The surf kits are colorful.

This CA state beach is very close (6 miles) from KOA Constanoa. If you want to avoid the hustle bustle of santacruz beach the this is a perfect destination for you. The winds are mild but good enough for wind surfers. The beach is quite...More

There is a great trail to take thru the redwoods and come out at the beach. I did it a few years ago, but the app won't let me go back that far. It is not a real difficult hike, but it is long.

Not worth the drive just for sun bathing, but if the wind is up it is worth the drive if you want to see Kite Boarders skittering about with the possibility of Great White Sharks below them. This can be fascinating to watch.

Great views and excellent place to watch kite surfing. Recommend taking a picnic and planning to spend a couple of hours.

No transport I am aware of, don't know anyone who has hiked back up the mountain. Have picked up fiends at the coast end.
