This was our first wine tasting in the area in a dozen years or so, and I was prepared to rate Matanzas poor, so to be fair I waited to try a few others before doing a review. The setting is lovely, which appears to...More

This is a gorgeous place with really, really nice people serving great wines! This was our favorite in our Napa/Sonoma tour so far. We love to have food with our wine, and they did a great job pairing cheeses and other accompaniments with the wines....More

First, let me say that Santa Rosa is one of my favorite cities. It was a treat to go to Manatazas Creek Winery in that city. My first impression was the beautiful lavender that is there (They grow it!). The winery hosted a large group...More

Excellent wines in a gorgeous, laid back atmosphere. Much better ambiance than some of the bigger wineries. Paul was super helpful and knowledgeable!

Excellent wines and a really nice venue. Raining when we were there, but did not deter our enjoyment of the winery. We were here a few years ago in the spring when the Lavender was in bloom. I think that that is the best time...More

I will be visiting in mid March from the east coast and I am wondering if the Lavender will be in bloom at that time.

Hello Sue A, I am a member of Matanzas Creek Wine Club (7years)and I am shocked to hear of your experience! I'm sure the management would be horrified as they take hospitality very seriously. This really is a very nice facility with very friendly people and great events. Not to mention the wine and Lavender. We have several wine club memberships in Sonoma and Napa counties and this is our favorite. I wish you would come back in the future and try it again. -Rebecca
