We are planning a 2nd trip the end on January to head out on our own and adventure. I would recommend taking a tour so you don't miss any of the amazing vineyards. Lots of fun!! Do... More

Our route to Neverland Ranch took us right through the valley. Beaitiful, endless winding roads make this a memorable trip.

I moved here from Santa Barbara 7 0r 8 years ago and have never regretted it. If you are looking for pastoral with a little fun on the side, this place is for you. This is a valley surrounded by mountains with a river that runs through it into the ocean. We are "Central Coast CA". The summer temperature can... More

The Santa Ynez Valley is a magical spot to grow the Rhone varietals very well. The terroir is ideal for Syrah and Viognier. If these are your kind of wines, this is your kind of valley.

It is a very short trip from Santa Barbara, about an hour to drive into Santa Ynez Valley. On your way we recommend to stop at the Cold Spring Tavern in Stagecoach road ( just after you pass San Marcos Pass you have to get off the highway) . Nice restaurants and many wine tasting opportunities in Santa Ynez.

My friend & I were in the valley attending a gala at our friends beautiful horse ranch. I love drivng thru this valley...imagining having a beautiful ranch & seeing all my horses grazing in pastures! But could never afford a ranch here...but it sure is nice the dream.

Tour the wineries, have a picnic at one of them. Hike in one of the many areas that have trails. A drive into LOMPOC to La Purisma Mission is great - lots of land and interesting history. Stay at a VRBO, it's worth looking into. Sundays at Cold Creek Tavern is a lot of fun. Mavericks has free music on... More
