There's no stadium seating, no fancy 3D or IMAX. The employees aren't in fancy uniforms. Tickets are under $10 to see 2 new movies, you get to experience it in the comfort of your own vehicle and you get to bring your own food, drinks and fun! The Santee Drive-In is an outdoor "under the stars" movie theater. For those of a certain age, they'll know what I'm talking about. For younger folks, watch the movies "Grease," "Cars," or "Twister" and you'll get the idea. The drive-in is a popular, inexpensive place to take a date or your family. Those of us over 50 fondly remember "drive-ins". As a child, my parents frequently took me and my sister to the Saturday drive-in as a sort of family get away. Just like you remember from when you were young! If you are young enough! They have two screens, and they show a double feature on each one. Usually one is for kids and the other more for adults. Kind of grungy, but that's how I remember drive inn movies being, anyway.

The drive in staff are hospitable as well as helpful The grounds are well maintained. And the venue is in a prime location. Santee Drive in is one of my favorite spots in Santee

Price was reasonable, snack bar adequate and priced well, good sound through car. Overall, a fun evening with my granddaughters!

First you can't beat the price for a family night at the movies! Plus you get 2 movies for less then 1 at a theater. I love theater 1 it's the bigger of the two. If you do go to theater 2 and have a car, parking isn't the great. It seems to be set up for more trucks/SUVs then... More

For over twenty Years Myself and several friends of mine have been getting up before O-DARK THIRTY! to haul or cash of sellable Stuff! down to the Old Santee Drive In to earn some Quick cash! Sunday is more Family oriented and usually more busy.

I came here with my wife's family. It is nice to see a movie they way my parents described. The snack bar had plenty of snacks, and the price is great.
