We stepped off the ferry from San Francisco, turned left and within 30 seconds were at this visitors center kiosk. It was the perfect location for getting information about Sausalito before exploring the town. Brochures and maps filled racks on the kosk's exterior walls. A...More

The woman at the desk was super informative. She happily helped several people before she advised me. There are a few maps and guide books here. Some local history, photos, and artifacts

We went to the visitors center with thoughts of picking up pamphlets. I didn't realize they had a museum inside that gives you the history of Sausalito from the beginning. Very interesting.

Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and surroundings of Sausalito. The beachy feeling and the Mediterranean like surroundings were outstanding.

The visitors center is average. Sausalito itself is a wonderful, quaint town, and we very much enjoyed it. You can explore it easily on your own without the visitors center.

We felt very welcome in the visitor center, and the receptionist explained to us how to get around. There is not much to do around the city, but walk around the main avenue between shops and restaurants. She also suggested going to the Boat houses,...More

Sausalito is a pretty town just on the other side of Golden Gate Bridge with a wonderful walkway along the water and outstanding views of San Francisco, Alcatraz, and the Bay Bridge. Lots of nice shops and eateries. Lots of places to just stroll--beautifully maintained...More
