Having visited all the California missions, I am surprised that this one isn't better known. It has a great little self-guided museum and the mission church has been well-preserved. For Catholics, it also has a large modern Blessed Sacrament chapel for prayer. Tourists visiting Solvang...More

This is a low key lovely visit to a place way out of the past. The mission is well preserved, though under key, and a fine tribute to the past. It is no overwhelming, but historical, and we are glad we enjoyed this historic site....More

Family visit to Solvang - easy drive to Old Mission - quiet retreat and great views of the Valley. Took a nice walk through stations of the cross - nice path and easy walk. *Note they do charge admission for self guided tour inside*

Whether you are Catholic or not, I always recommend visiting Catholic Churches on your travels since this is often where the best historical architecture can be found. Old Mission Santa Ines is no exception. Founded in 1804 as one of the original missions established by...More

Very pretty Mission. Great little gift shop. We had a dog with us so we just walked the grounds and went into the gift shop. But it was very peaceful and beautiful to walk around.

A part of California history. It is both inspirational (for Catholics and non Catholics) and beautiful. The architecture and view across the valley are breathtaking. The chapel takes you back in time.

Plenty of free parking. Grounds are maintained; nice long path to take a lovely walk. Nice scenery to take pics. Little gift shop has entrance to museum tour ($5 per person).

Santa Ines is another nice example of a Spanish Colonial mission, well preserved and maintained. Quite spacious and still in active use. Take a self guided tour an enjoy the mission!

It is so easy to reach the Mission, is right on the main route of visiting Solvang. Easy parking, beautiful setting. You get to enrich your history knowledge and you feel a little more "spiritual". A quiet walk in the chapel and gardens gives you...More

i'm not sure. In the areas we went it was ground floor or pathways and the doors were wide enough. My suggestion would be to call and check to know for sure though.
