I really like this place, it's got a small park in the middle, funky little pubs, historic sites, a rare nightspot, wine shops with tastings and a bunch of boutique shops for wine stuff, clothes, etc. I bought my favorite necktie ever here. Oh yeah..... a lot of outstanding restaurants. Stay at one of the many walking distance B&B's. Borrow... More

Locals flock here for a wide variety of reasons: family fun, walking, eating, drinks and shopping. Ditto wine country travelers if they make the move to test our town between so many other great wine areas. Lots of places to sit and picnic, trees, ducks, play areas and all surrounding the historic City Hall. If you have pets you can't... More

It was little windy and chilly, so could not enjoy the charming town as much as we hoped. Sonoma Plaza has something for all ages. Historic places, playgrounds, grass, restaurants, and wine tasting cellars. We stopped by the cheese factory and surprisingly my sons enjoyed cheese so much we ended up purchasing several, along with a local brewed beer. The... More

Sonoma Plaza is historical as you will see with some of the buildings. There are shops, restaurants, and hidden "treats" to help you spend some quality time here.

So many attractions! My 'musts' are Red Grape patio for onion rings and say "dig deep" clam chowder bowl. Then cooking supply store ,The Sonoma Bear, with lots of Inexpensive little gadgets like red silicone slip on handle for cast iron pans,,, and the lightest little metal pancake flipper,,, and and and ,,, the ladies all are very helpful and... Sonoma Plaza is a very picturesque part of Sonoma with cute shops, restaurants and wineries offering tastings. A very pleasant way to spend the afternoon and try a few different wines without having to go very far. Great to go if you're unsure what you want for lunch or dinner as there are many options, again all in one place.

Since we live in Sonoma it's sometimes hard to look at our town from the perspective of a tourist. That being said there are a lot of great little shops and wine bars around the square and Sonoma Plaza. I was working downtown on the historic Sebastiani Theater restoring the front of the building. We were blown away at all... More

A pleasant square with a very good bakery and a few speciality shops, at least 2 very good restaurants. If you are in the area anyway, grab lunch and take a stroll around the square. The park is very good, but the shops and galleries are not worth a special visit. The past luster and a fine dining restaurant are... More

There is something for everyone here in and around the Plaza. It has a great park equipment for little ones to play on and lot so benches for the adults to watch from. The businesses surrounding the Plaza range from wine tasting to food service to serious shopping opportunities. One could easily spend a few days there.
