It's a quaint place tended by knowledgeable docents. The museum covers local interest with many historical photos of the conversion from agri-economy to high tech tilt-up buildings. It is surrounded by the Heritage Orchard of mostly Blenheim apricots and is still tended by the Olson family who sell the apricots on premise in late spring/early summer.

I don't know much about history. Here everything is historic but I didn't see anything which interests me.

It was fun to see some of the historical information when I returned back to Sunnyvale. The museum had some excellent photos and landmarks inside.

A good small Museum that explains the history of the orchards and the growth Sunnyvale down through the years. Moving from orchards to semi conductors and high-tech Sunnyvale is really the heart of Silicon Valley.

A surprising compleat & well run building devoted to some under reported events in our local development. This facilit y tells of the past & how it has lead use to the present. Modern & clean, roomey, easy to acess.

Given the rapid growth of Silicon Valley, it is amazing that many of the exhibits here survived. The museum is a bit crowded so might not be the best place for kids, but well worth a look-see!

Not on the tourist route but this is a great local museum that tells the story of Martin Murphy, Jr. who settled in the area that is now Sunnyvale (aka Silicon Valley) . He had his home milled to his specifications in Bangor, Maine and it was shipped around the Horn in 1850. It was assembled in Sunnyvale using wooden... More

For a local city museum, Sunnyvale did a stellar job on their museum. We enjoyed visiting the historic orchard and the outside exhibit area, There was a lot of information on the orchards and the cannery industry. There were some farming carts and other such things outside The museum itself is open a few hours each week; its best to... More

Lot's of thought went into this museum and for a small museum there is abundant well presented information on the history of Sunnyvale. There is also a very nice gift shop.
