Great outdoor experience. After winter storms the trail does need some cleanup, but it didn't interfere with being outside and enjoying the trail. Something does need to be done about the inconsiderate people who do not pick after their dogs. Perhaps will have to be...More

Needs to be cleaned up a bit, but was able to enjoy a beautiful day and get in some exercise. River was very full from the last rain storm beautiful to look at while walking.

This is one of the most interesting and beautiful bike trails I have seen in the U.S. Heading west from Susanville, the trail runs along the picturesque Susan River, and offers views of sheer bluffs and pine and deciduous forests. The trail comprises several old...More

Wonderful old railroad grade = almost flat, multi-user friendly. Follows the Susan River up hill from town. October = fall colors. Saw a couple of deer, and not many people. Has mile/Km markers. Several parking lots and access points along the way.

More mileage if you have time. Rock formations, foliage, and canyon views demand frequent stops for photos. Note:Tunnels...More

We have ridden this trail several times over the years and love it. Lots of bribes, creeks and water to ride beside, and some old railroad tunnels dot the trail. You can do 25 miles one way if you like, or just ride different sections...More

I see there is bus service on the weekends. What about the possibility of shuttling one person to the west end of the trail on a week day. It says this is a "typical question" but I don't see where the typical questions are answered.
