Monte De Oro Winery is one of Temecula Valley’s newest premier wineries with a passion for growing quality grapes, handcrafting premium wines and providing “the ultimate” wine experience for its guests. Featuring 100% estate wines, Monte De Oro has 4 vineyards with over 70 acres producing twelve red grape and five white grape varietals. Monte De Oro barrel-ages its red wines in 100% French Oak (85% American Oak for our Zinfandel) for up to 28 months to produce beautifully balanced wines accentuating the terroir and grape characteristics of our four vineyards. Our wines then bottle age for an additional 6 months before being released to the public.Monte De Oro Winery planted it first grapes in 2002 and opened its winery in 2010. Since 2010, Monte Do Oro has won over 60 awards, including 19 Chairman Trophy, Platinum, Double Gold or Gold Medals. We offer 13 red wines, 2 reserve wines and 5 white wines.

Visited winery with 4 girlfriends on a Sunday afternoon in October. Just beautiful views of vineyard. The winery itself is just gorgeous with a glass floor which looks into the wine cellar. The patio is open with a beautiful fountain and breathtaking views. The tour was very interesting and informative. Ken, the general manager and owner is warm and friendly... More

This was one if our stops. The grounds are very nice. We met one of the owners while we were there. We enjoyed learning about wines in the area. They also have some fun dinners and brunches. Check them out on their website.

My husband purchased a 6 taste package for $13. He enjoyed several of their red wines. However, our sever who was initially helpful walked away for lengthy periods and seemed totally disinterested in making a sale so we left without a purchase!

We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch this morning. While a soloist played beautiful acoustic guitar we wove our way through gastronomic delicacies artfully arranged in two well placed rooms. We started with just carved prime rib and a mountain of crab claws and a plate with Just Bacon. Perfect Bacon! We also had the proverbial baby's arm shrimp with... More

This is one of the upscale wineries in Temecula. The entire tasting room was designed quite nice. The glass floor is a very nice touch. Very friendly and knowledgeable personnel. Good to very good red line. Not exceptional but well worth sampling. Mandatory stop in Temecula Wine Country.

My husband and I stopped by Monte de Oro on a Friday. Not a lot of people when we went (we were there when they just opened) and it was pretty quiet. Their tasting fee for 2 people was 30 dollars. I normally drink only red wines...But I did enjoy their sparkling wine...Also-I really enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvignon. The gal... More

We decided on a day trip to Temecula from Oceanside, and Monte De Oro was by far the best tasting experience of the wineries we visited. Richie took great care of us, and because of his great service we decided to check a bag on the way home so we could buy some wine. The wines were also very good... More

Was in the area for a couple of wine stops and stopped by here. Generous tasting of 6 for $13 weekdays and enjoyed all of the tastings. But I liked the Congruity and the 100% estate grown Petite Sira. If you have time try the food parings. The tasting room was wonderful and spacious with the high vaulted ceilings and... More

On a sunny day in January we visited this winery about noon prior to lunch. The tasting room is quite elegant, large, and able to accommodate huge crowds. I'm glad we visited when it was quiet and peaceful. The wines were good and we were able to take our tastings outside to enjoy the patio and view. The tasting price was... More
