Overview
More
Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals. The winery property now has 20 acres of Estate vineyards planted with Viognier, Syrah, Dolcetto, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Lin family owns an additional 200 acres of property at the corner of De Portola Road and Monte de Oro, of which approximately 50 acres are currently planted with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Callaway Winery & Nature...At Callaway, we believe we are merely stewards of our land. The vineyards are farmed with the philosophy that seeks to sustain, for the long term, the viability of the land. From the winery, one can see the many specially constructed nesting boxes and perches nestled throughout the vineyards, which encourage a stable population of hawks and owls. Cover crops are encouraged to grow between the vineyard rows to provide habitat for beneficial insects. These are but a few ways we encourage nature to be nature! Callaway Winery & Winemaking...Approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines are synonymous with the Callaway name. The time honored, Callaway tradition of using unusually cold temperatures during fermentation to slow and prolong the process, allows our wines to retain their natural fruit flavors and aromas. And the result - wines that are fruit forward, food friendly and the perfect complement to today's eclectic lifestyles. Wines made to be enjoyed, from our vineyards to your table.

We did the tour and tasting on Thursday morning. Denise was our tour guide and bartender for the tasting afterwards. She was very knowledgeable about the winery, wine making process, and the Temecula region. The wines were very good. The winery was beautiful. A great...More

Calloway has remained my Temecula favorite for dessert wines. Both the late harvest Chardonnay and Cabernet are always on my pickup list. I truly miss the Sweet Nancy that they used to make, but the noble rot has been long gone for years. This winery...More

Great wine. Only place I have found that does a late harvest wine. If you are doing the tour make sure to make this stop on your list.

This review is more about the staff at the restaurant than the food. This is not to say anything bad about the food rather how spectacular the staff is. My wife and I were there for a nice anniversary meal on a Friday evening and...More

This winery is perched on a hill with a beautiful view over the vineyards. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. They even allow dogs.

We had heard from several friends to check out Callaway while visiting the Temecula wine region, and It was definitely worth seeing for the view from the tasting room and patio. The wines were good and their portfolio had a good variety to choose from.
