Finally made time for Angel island. Cool older Garrisons, Internment camp, Batterys and cold war era missile installation(fenced off and scraped clean) we walked the perimeter loop in 2-1/2 hours kinda skipping the chance to investigate the garrison camps much. Saw many deer. Ferries keep to their schedule and take cash or something called a "check"- historic right? - there... More

The ferry is easily accessed from Main Street in Tiburon. The seating is comfortable with great views of the area The Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland Bridge, Alcatraz and Angel Island. It took about 15 minutes. You purchase tickets before boarding. There are several restaurants and shops nearby to enjoy while you wait.

Maggie (the owner and often the boat captain) and her family will treat you to a wonderful ride from idyllic Tiburon to Angel Island. It's a short trip, but the views (with occasional wildlife sightings) are great. Bring the family and a picnic (and your bikes) and spend the day. Don't forget to visit the Immigration Station, often called the... More

By far, taking the ferry is way more fun than driving there. You get a nice view of San Francisco bay. Highly recommended

Beautiful ferry that presents gorgeous views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge (a bit far away but still nice). Ferry was clean, on-time and got over to Angel Island in about 20 minutes. Only leaves Tiburon two times a day on most days so check the schedule online - it changes daily. The downside is that it... There's very little line, lots of parking, plenty of place to sit on the ferry especially on top, and while it's a short trip from Angel Island and back, it's a lovely view the entire way with little boat traffic.

Boat ride to Angel island. Great views and Historic buildings. See the Golden Gate Bridge.and Tiburon and San Francisco skyline. Take the tram ride. Our driver and guide was Greg. He was excellent and made the tour fun.

Couldn't be happier about being on the water on the ferry. Beautiful day. Informal dock. Easy on easy off.

We took the ferry to dinner in Tiburon and loved it. You can sit outside or inside. They have a bar. Be sure you don't miss the last ferry back to S.F. or you'll have to take a car service.
