A must see. The Redwoods are like looking back in time. The state of California should be proud to have preserved this treasure.

The campground we stayed at was beautiful. It was well kept and the staff were super friendly. When we arrived we had booked our site for the wrong night. Luckily the staff was able to accomodate.

It is easy to forego the 31 mile drive in order to "make time" on US 101 but this stretch is simply amazing and we;ll-worth the time it will take.

Amazing redwood forest to drive through with walks into points of interest. You can go up to giant standing redwoods and climb on downed redwoods.

The Redwoods were almost more impressive than the Redwood Nationalpark further North. We did not mind the various businesses.

We got here late in the day so we weren't able to visit the visitor center because it had already closed. But we did walk around outside, I loved the cross section they have of the redwood tree that showed the dates - one said...More

We stayed at the Best Western in nearby Fortuna. Up to date, very comfortable and exceptionally clean rooms. Eel River Brewery in Fortuna a short walk for fun meal with good beverages. Would be very long trip from SF.
