Cornerstone Cellars was born out of a passion for great wines in 1991 when founders Drs. Michael Dragutsky and David Sloas crushed their first five tons of Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Today the founders of Cornerstone Cellars and have been joined by Managing Partner Craig Camp, Winemaker Jeff Keene, in the Napa Valley, and a group of Memphis based partners led by Hal Lewis and John Carrier. All share one goal: to make compelling, exciting wines that speak clearly of the vineyard, variety and vintage from which they are born. All of our wines receive minimal, gentle winemaking relying more on nature than technology as the path to making great wine. All come from organic or sustainably farmed vineyards. While our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon remains the cornerstone of our portfolio, this year will see the premiere release of a very special wine. Named simply, "The Cornerstone" this wine represents the pinnacle of our vision of Napa Valley winemaking.

I've been to this winery several times and I've usually received good service. Their wines are great, especially the big cabs and cab francs and syrahs. Prices are high but that's pretty average for Napa Valley wines today. I went with two of my friends who are both club members. We called ahead to let them know we are coming... More

Decor is lovely, and the location can't be beat if you'd like to experience a lesser known vineyard. Relaxing tasting. Staff was fine, but didn't go out of their way to do much above and beyond pouring, until we engaged them in conversation. Wasn't crowded either. But staff was pleasant and friendly; wines average, although we bought a few bottles.... More

I wanted to visit a few select, lesser known wineries while I was out here and search for one known for their Cabernet Franc. We loved the wine, the tasting room and the service was fabulous. This hidden gem is worth the visit

Stopped by before leaving Yountville one day during our recent trip to Napa. Only one other couple in for a tasting, so I expected to have a great time as it would be more personal. The staff (didn't grab her name), would pour some wine then sit down behind the bar and look on her laptop and cell phone. Eventually... More

We walked in without a reservation & we were greeted warmly. We never felt rushed, and the tasting was very elaborate and compared to the rest of the ones we did that day, it was the best one we had. Dan was very knowledgeable about the wines, and was great at answering all our questions. He went above and beyond... More

Loved visiting Cornerstone Cellars tasting room. Wow! Not only great wines but smart and friendly people at Cornerstone who know their wine and love sharing. The rose is incredible and the cabs are superb.

My friend and I did the Food and Wine pairing at Cornerstone. It was a delightful experience and we couldn't have asked for more. We were served a taste of wine before they came to take us to a private room where the pairing began. We spent over a hour with the young lady, who had been out sorting grapes... More

It is so nice to experience a winery that is small and doesn't participate in mass production. The rose is off the charts!

Martha, the Sommelier who helped us with our wine tasting was an absolute delight and made our trip beyond worth it by sharing with us all her knowledge and expertise. Delicious wines in a small, quiet, comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
