This was a very hard hike, it has rocks to climb up and over, it was worth it, but way harder than I thought. Coming down was easier, it was very busy you have to pay to park on weekends,

We went early on a weekday and had difficulty finding a place to park. The ranger station at the base of the trails led us to an area that was closed off for construction and we then hiked in the wrong direction for 45 minutes,...More

When friends come to visit this is a must do on our list of hikes. Beautiful vistas, wide trails mostly and some good steeps to get the heart pumping! One of our favorite spots in Boulder! Busy during the summer weekends.

This park would be beautiful if the hikers would take their trash with them, instead I saw many people leaving trash on the side of the trails! I smelt many dirty diapers that people had just left to rot on the side of the trail...More

There are different level trails for all levels and dogs. Beautiful view of the Flatirons. The parking is free Monday to Friday. You will need to wait a little for a parking space but there are also parking in the nearby roads.

No, it's about a mile to the top of the flatirons: google "Chautauqua trailhead' and you can find a map with distances. I walked this last Saturday, and it was icy. I wore crampons but many people braved it in sneakers... More

I believe you can sled on the land to the west of the Chautauqua Meadow Trail. But you'd better check with the city to make sure it's OK as they are very protective of their open space.
