We took a day and drove up the pass from Breck. It was a nice scenic ride. The rode gets a little iffy and narrow along the way, not even enough room for 2 cars around some of the curves. Some of the road is just rock and closed during certain times of the year. The views from the top... More

Winding trails that climb to the top of the mountains on the other side of the Colorado-9 highway. Offer majestic top-views of the Peak 7,8,9 and 10. Part of the road is closed in the winter.

While not for the faint hearted, this drive provides spectacular views and feels like you've been transported to your own ideal world. The road is narrow at times and often very rough, so the 10 MPH speed limit isn't just a suggestion--it's mandatory and easy to follow. About halfway you come to the Continental Divide where the road becomes smoother... More

Every time we are in the area we take this drive. The views are stunning and seeing wildlife just makes it that much better. You can make the pass with a standard car. Stop and see some of the sights as well.

We experienced Boreas Pass in 2 different ways. One day on a bike and the next day by car. Day 1 - Rented mountain bikes and drove(by car) up to the portion of Boreas Pass road just before it becomes a dirt road. We hoped onto our bikes and rode about 6 miles uphill to the pass and the continental... More

I have ridden this road twice on my Suzuki V-Strom - it really is an EPIC experience! The views are spectacular, and the road is fun. You could easily drive this in small SUV's, and even some cars if they have decent ground clearance. Highly recommended!

We drove from Breckenridge to the peak & then continued to Como. The drive was bumpy, but certainly well worth the drive. Views were phenomenal. We stopped at the peak & enjoyed the history. Past the peak we stopped at Rocky Point Trail- (#6 I think). This was a a short easy trail - great views.

This is a must take drive while you're in Breckenridge. You will follow what used to be the train tracks through this mountain pass - Gorgeous views all around. It can be tight at times, but go slowly and you'll be glad you went. Easily one of the 10 best things to do while there.

Hiking was great! We did the easiest path around the lake several times! The weather in Oct. was great. Alot of the attractions were closed but hiking and walking downtown was just fine.
