This pass is a beautiful trip, that goes between South Park (Como) and Breckenridge. The road however is dirt and is passable by SUV, but there are some rough areas, so anything with low ground clearance could encounter some troubles. There are several bicyclists that...More

We drove from Breckenridge to FairPlay - full length of Boreas Pass Road in September 2018. The Aspens were beautiful in full display of their fall color. The road from Breckenridge to the peak is best with a 4 wheel drive vehicle but okay for...More

This is a dirt road pass but a low clearance vehicle will have no problems on it. The views are spectacular but caution with the high altitude. Acclimate to the altitude before you vent on it!

The Boreas pass road is great for a day trip from Breckenridge. It is a dirt road, but is suitable for any type of car - no need for a 4-wheel drive. It is also a great place for a bike ride. There is a...More

The road was originally a narrow gauge railroad line connecting Como and Breck. As such the grade is never that steep making it excellent for pedaling, cross country skiing and the like. I've driven this road in the fall for fantastic foliage and snowshoed and...More

We decided to take this drive to see the fall colors. The road turns to gravel shortly after getting past housing. Its gets really rough in some spots, not sure I would take a car or van unless you have high clearance. We only went...More
