I love riding the gondola from Grand Lodge in Peak 7 to downtown Breckenridge. There is a long stretch that looks over an open wilderness area which often features wildlife such as deer and moose. (I only saw deer, but I was told by people...More

We love riding the gondola to the top of the mountain. We also love sitting outside on the patio of the restaurant to eat.

These gondola rides are available every 10 minutes during normal business hours, and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that there is no charge for this fun way to travel up to the shops or take some photos from the top! Depending on the time...More

This is a beautiful gondola ride, there are 2 stops up the mountain and you stay on if you want to reach the top. It's free to ride, there are bathrooms at the top. Once at the top the activities cost. There is a restaraunt,...More

Excellent ride with a few rolling stops at resorts on the way down from the base of Peak 8. I wish it stayed open after 6pm; 10pm would be enable return trips after dinner.

Interesting ride and FREE. It starts in the parking area near the center of town. It wanders thru an upscale community and ends at the main or major base lodge. It does not get your up into the mountain as in other resorts. We did...More

Kids went horseback riding here and we went up and just messed around. Busy up here with all the kid stuff to do. Walked around and enjoyed the views. Well worth the trip up.

We rode the Gondola up to ride the Alpine Slide. I was nice, clean, smooth, and had vents when it was warm. They run timely and are easy to get on and off.

In the summer I believe it's free and the parking is right by the gondola. Call 970-453-5000. They will know for sure..

What rockyandmickey said, above, is correct. The Gondola is free year-round, but it takes you from in-town parking to the bases of Peak 7 and Peak 8. From there, you need a lift ticket to ski. You say that you've only been... More
