we were in Breckenridge and Vail is an easy 40 minute drive. Fun to see, rode the Gondolas at Vail village and Lions-head village (same ticket)--takes you up ~ 2000 ft more. Great views and hiking at the top along with bikes available to ride up or just down the mountain

We have done this ride several times over the years. Jaw-droppingly beautiful. Always stop at Sugar Lips in Copper for mini donuts and coffee on the way back to reward ourselves :-)

We rented bikes from Mountainview sports. My daughter and son-in-law have done this bike ride once before and loved it. Although I am not a bike rider, I was excited for this trip! The beginning of the trail is a little steep and curvy for a beginner bike rider like myself because my balance on a bike is not like it used to be when I was younger. We were told some people walk their bikes down this section, which I ended up doing for a couple of reasons. The trail is a usual narrow bike trail and edge of the trail is not level with the ground in some spots. So I felt like one little turn to the right while trying to keep my balance and I was going to fall off my bike. No one else seemed to mind this but I was unnerved by it. Once we got past this first section, it was a nice, easy ride. Secondly, the "tour de france" riders as we called them, come whizzing by you on the left and do not yell "on the left" to warn you they are coming. I wasn't aware of this and the first one that passed me, scared the heck out of me. It took me a few minutes of sitting on side of the trail to calm myself down. Again, I am not a bike rider by any stretch so that was part of the problem. Once, I got used to things, the ride was easier and so beautiful! I am glad we did it!

This was one of our highlights, group of 8 adults 24-57, everyone loved it. An easy ride down, minimal actual pedaling. We did the morning ride through mountainsports in Keystone. They get you set up on bikes, shuttle you up, give you the map of where to to and pick you up 3-4 hours later. Reserve in advance. Wonderful views, Frisco was really nice to spend some time. Highly recommended.

This is a very well designed trail which I highly recommend. Most people bike just downhill, but the up and downhill ride from Frisco to Vail (28 miles total) was worth the time, energy burned, and expense (bike rental). (The bike shop in Frisco next to the Walmart was excellent for that, btw). If they could only put up a little barrier (and clean off the gravel) between the short downhill section from the top of the pass (headed toward Vail) that goes right by the highway.

I wasn’t as interested in this experience as my husband was, but boy did it blow me away! I was so incredibly impressed with this ride and loved every minute of it. We rented from Mountain View Sports (they were great) and took the longer trip to Dillon. The scenery was gorgeous and the towns along the way were so cute. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

We rented our bikes from Alpine Sports in Breckenridge. They let us try the bikes and then shuttled us up to Vail Pass. Our driver, Danny was great. He let us know where to go and when to meet back up. They picked us up in Frisco to bring us back to Breckenridge. The ride is super easy. You will use your brakes more then pedals. The views are breathtaking. I wish we had done the morning ride (all booked by the time we reserved it) since the afternoon is an hour shorter. There was still plenty of time for the ride, we were just not able to stop for a drink and enjoy Frisco.

This ride was very easy. Expect to be braking much of the way. Take your time in the beginning as the scenery is much better in the beginning of the ride. The views were really nice and it took just under 2 hours at a relative easy pace to go from the top to Vail.

We rode our bikes down the Vail Pass Path to Frisco. We only rode one way and it was almost entirely downhill. Unfortunately, we had rain/hail on the way down but that soon stopped and we were dry by the time we got to Frisco.

Very quick and easy biking trip from the top. The serious riders will pass you on their way up! Colorado beauty from an eyes view.
