Wow this place is amazing. The hike to the waterfall is not to hard but it does have a lot of steps. Then to the river area it is a hike over roots and mud if it is raining. We did it in the rain...More

Mod/easy hike! So much to see! We are at the rest to the left when you are walking out and it was great. I have the tilapia and it was one of the best meals I had on my trip.

This was by far our favorite place we visited in Costa Rica (we didn't try beaches due to rain). You'll need a rental car. Roads surrounding this area are unpaved, but take it slow and you'll be fine, weather permitting. We lucked out with dry...More

It's a lovely --not difficult-- walk through a rainforest that culminates in a beautiful glacial blue pool with a waterfall spilling into it. We all loved it...ages 10 through 77!

It's a fairly easy hike. Start off going to the highest point first (Teniderios) then hike back and save the waterfalls for last. It will make the trek worth it! The water is just so beautiful and the trail isn't that bad. We saw plenty...More

We visited during the "rainy season (July)" and although it did not rain the hike is muddy and rocky. I initially did not want to rent the $1.00 boots but remembered I had socks with me so I rented them and boy am I glad...More

I did it independently, however we had access to a car. if you don't have your own transport then you will probably have to go on an organised tour/trip.

It's still worth seeing and there are plenty of other places to go into the hot springs or fresh water springs.
