Just a great short drive with optional hiking trails both during and after the drive over the mountain. I have been coming here since I was a kid and have never been disappointed!

Short one way paved road with no guardrail. A few places to pull over and take pictures. Good views of the city but not much else to see. Definitely worth doing

Thanks to our server on the Royal Gorge Railroad for recommending this attraction to us. I understand it could be intimidating to some but my wife and I enjoyed every bit of it very much. This is a no-cost must see if you are in...More

Road only goes one way but is an easy trip. Has great views of the city below! If you're afraid of heights this might be challenging for you. Lots of places along to pull off to park. Also nice dirt trails to the top.

We climbed up to the top of Skyline Drive and watch the sunrise. You could see the moon on one side and the sun coming up on the other- absolutely breath taking!

Since Canon City is in the Arkansas Valley where the river exits the Royal Gorge it has a surprising warm winter climate. However I am sure that if there is snow and ice the Skyline Drive would be closed to traffic. But... More

This review is about Skyline Drive in Canon City, Colorado, not South Carolina. The former is about 3mi long. No clue about SC's.

I would not try it. There's a tight turn at the end that takes you back (down) in the opposite direction. In addition, wind can be an issue with a high-profile vehicle. It's not windy everyday, but this is the Front Range of... More
