Wine tasting

My husband and I are not really wine connoisseurs but we did enjoy and bought 3 bottles. The apple blossom was refreshing.

We were just driving thru Canon City to take the train and saw the winery and decided to stop in... We ended up buying a case of wine and met some very nice people also. I recommend that you check out this place it is pretty interesting !

On a mini vacation recently, we passed through Canon City, Colorado, and quite by chance, stopped at the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey, which was located on the North side of our route, Highway 50, in the heart of Canon City. This stop turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip....the Abbey is beautiful in its own... More

We had a wine tasting here with our daughter and son in law. Very nice. You must make reservations and it does require a fee. We enjoyed it. The wine is very good but not cheap. The bottles are so beautiful I love them...and keep them. I want to do something with them.

Stopped in for some wine. We like the reds beautiful shop with lots to buy. Tasting is complementary and they have something for everyone. The Vietnam statue is on loan but a very nice piece.

The grounds, winery, the gift shop, everything is beautiful and shiny! If you get distracted with beautiful things you will be here for hours. The winery is amazing, especially around this time where they have their own yearly wine in gorgeous bottles. They have a great Harvest Fest with the official release of the Harvest Fest's Merlot and Riesling in... More

The Abbey itself is stunning! Only about a block off Hwy 50, so very easy to find. The tasting room is on the grounds, so you can see the abbey & then enjoy a tasting of the wines that are made by the monks. And it is VERY good wine! The best we've found in CO. The vast majority of... More

We were on our way back from Royal Gorge when we found this winery. We stopped out of curiosity and were quite surprised by a winery attached to the Holy Cross Abbey. The winery has wine tasting and has quite a number of wines available for tasting. After shopping at the wine store, tasted several wines and purchased a couple... More

We were there on an unusually cold day and had to sit outside freezing with the VIP tour which cost us 25$ each not nice. Our hostess finally let us drink the wine by the fireplace- very sad ! Good information great cheese but too cold.
