A trip to the Air Force Academy is worth the drive off of I-25. The chapel is not to be missed and is a stunning example of Modern architecture. Chapel will close in the next year or so for remodeling, so visit soon!

So much to see. The Chapel is beyond beautiful, the architecture is amazing. So peaceful while visiting inside. Many statue formations were beautiful as well. Visitor center very informative with great displays. Was fun watching the cadets break from class and march outside, impressive. Well...More

Into the wild blue yonder. After a four year enlistment, after the tour ,I have a greater appreciation for our officers. Good info. and film in the VC. Impressive chapel. Was there about 1.5 hrs. Needed more time to see what was available. USAF!!

The backdrop of the Academy is beautiful. The campus is open to visitors and one should proceed to the Visitors Center first to grab a map, look at the movie of a Cadet's first year, browse the exhibits and the gift store. It's a short...More

We visited the four chapel areas within the Chapel and the design of each was beautiful. Even the 5 year old enjoyed seeing them. Nice walk from Visitors Ctr to Chapel.

First time visit here and I truly enjoyed the experience. Cadet Chapel is somewhat of an architectural wonder and is almost surreal when the light shines through the hundreds of stained glass windows. I was not aware that the chapel has four areas of worship...More

The USAFA itself is a beautiful school. The grounds, building and views are spectacular. The short film about cadet life is interesting and well done. The folks working at the front desk to the Visitors Center scowl, frown, seem unapproachable and act irritated to provide...More

My husband was planning to write a murder mystery based on a memoir of our friend who was a cadet during a cheating scandal in 1965. We loved being there. The Honor Code was the inspiration. What a fantastic tour.

It depends on how big your RV is. I don't believe there is room in the visitor center parking lot for a large RV. There probably is room at the PX shopping center, but it is some way from the visitor center. Not sure if they... More
