On our visit last month to see our daughter in Colorado Springs, CO. Her friend had a soccer game at the U. S. Air Force Academy. We got to go and watch. Luckily for me being a retired veteran I had no problem getting on...More

I had some extra time on my way into Colorado Springs and stopped for a hour at the Air Force Academy. A very nice setting. . . I stopped at the visitor's center and watched a short film about the life of a cadet. Then...More

I have a personal interest in USAFA - my daughter is a graduate. The noon formation is fun to watch - be there at 11:30 - there is some event where a cadet squadron takes “the hill” but by noon they go marching off, by...More

We completely enjoyed our visit through the Air Force Academy grounds. We highly suggest that you start at the visitor center and watch the movie and do a walk through! Beautiful campus and makes me proud of our armed forces.

Beautiful Chapel. Catholic's in the basement, everyone else up top. So beautiful. Stun glass windows, the tips of the Chapel. It is beautiful.

The Chapel is beautiful work of art, and what I would call a don't miss opportunity to see it. The entire structure is made from coated glass and the Chapel sits high on the grounds of the Academy. The Chapel can be seen from afar,...More

If for no other reason you need to visit the Air Force Academy to see the chapel. Nothing like it - would love to be able to attend a service there!

I visited the USAFA with my wife recently and found it to be a terrific place to study and train in. The chapel is an iconic structure that is designed aerodynamically and every part of the edifice resembles an aviation part. The best part of...More

I did not expect to enjoy visiting this campus. The chapel is a must see. There is a museum which is quite interesting too. If you are visiting Colorado Springs, it is worth your time to visit.

No cost to visit. You will need a government issue photo ID to enter. Also, be mindful, if traveling with any weapons, they can not be brought into the facility.

It depends on how big your RV is. I don't believe there is room in the visitor center parking lot for a large RV. There probably is room at the PX shopping center, but it is some way from the visitor center. Not sure if they... More
