Running (or walking, hiking, sitting...) in the Garden of the Gods is like being in a place other-worldly. So awe inspiring. I recommend joining the folks at the Visitors' Center for their Thursday evening "Gallop in the Garden." It's a super low-key, non-competitive, running event.

You can drive a continuous loop through the park. That way you can find your perfect place to stop and hike or enjoy the views

The landscape is stunning; be sure to bring a camera! We took some "light" hikes around the park; for those in better physical shape, not-so-light hikes are available. Be sure to have a sweat band and plenty of water. Sunscreen is highly recommended as is...More

This has the best of both worlds - it's free and the scenery is amazing! One thing that was nice about GOTG is it fills up a day without feeling like you are just filling up time. Also - the park is well maintained.

You can park at the visitor center and take a shuttle to the park or you can walk along the path. The path is about 1 mile to the center of the park.

Very beautiful and unique place to visit. Free to the public and great for an all day trip with friends and family. Lots of nice trails and a beautiful gift shop/welcome center.

The guided taxi tour is well narrated and informative. If cost is a concern, the visitors center has information and a gift center that has numerous picture guide books available.
