Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America's ONLY mountain zoo. Large alpine habitats are home to over 950 different animals and approximately 180 species. All of your favorites are here - monkeys, hippos, tigers, elephants and bears (oh my!). Hand-feed their large reticulated giraffe herd, and experience animals up-close, like never before.

This was a nostalgic trip for my girls and me, as we had memberships at the Columbus Zoo their entire juvenile life. This zoo is located on the mountain side, so there are many hills to navigate, but there are also many places to sit and rest if needed. It has a nice mix of animals. We saw the Giraffes,... More

The setting alone adds to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's uniqueness and beautiful. Even better, they have a wide assortment of animals including many that come from different (warmer) environments. Both the kids and adults had a great time visiting during the week when crowds were down.

Feed the giraffes! Loved it. It's possible the zoo was busy but it didn't seem crowded at all. Lots of opportunity to see the animals up close. Beautiful views. A true delight. $3 to feed the giraffes! You can still get really close to the giraffes if you don't want to pay the extra fee

Although we live in Colorado, the staycations are always about "what have we not visited for a while" The Cheyenne MT Zoo is always a delight to walk on a warm day, it can get chilly because of our altitude. Very hilly, so good shoes to walk a long way around the zoo.

My favorite part about visiting the Chyenne Mountain Zoo was getting to get up close with the animals.

Neat little zoo. Highly recommended for anyone with kids and an afternoon free. The giraffe park is amazing in its own right but there are plenty of opportunities to interact with other animals as well.

This was a very nice zoo. We bought a year pass and will be back many times. Go see the shrine while you are there. It is included in the admission fee. Great view of the city.

I think I went at the wrong time of the year. The animals weren't really out and basically we did a lot of walking, spent a lot of money, and left after two hours of disappointment. However with that said, when we went to boo at the zoo in October it was worth it!

Just about the nicest zoo I have visited. It is absolutely unique due to the fact that it is located on a mountain. The location provides the most natural habitat of any of my visited zoos, and there have been many. The zoo is clean and well maintained; has great animal interaction: aa well as several really good places to... More

We had a wonderful time and thought the visit was well worth the costs. The giraffe feeding sections was fun as was the cougar. Great little zoo.
