When I was competing in the Jr. Olympics (Running target- marksmanship), we got to come and stay, and compete at the training center. It was one of the highlights of my whole life. We got to meet other olympic athletes, and even got to play volleyball, and swim with some of them. I had lunch with Apollo Anton Ohno, The... More

We traveled to COS for my son to compete in the US Jr. Olympics Trap & Skeet National Competition. This was the hi-light of the trip to see where other athletes train, while this is an Olympic year. We saw several including some from near our hometown. You get to see the Work out Gym, Pool, Basketball court, Gun range,... More

We visited the Olympic Training Center on the 4th of July since we're looking forward to the Olympics in Rio. It was a very interesting tour, and we learned a lot about the facilities and technology that the center makes available to our nation's elite athletes. Very impressive! Also, tour ticket sales and shopping at the gift shop helps support... More

Plan on two hours at least for this tour. The tour starts with a 20 minute movie, followed by a walking tour where you may see some of the athletes waking around or training. Cost is minimal and you get to see many of the training areas for the athletes. If you have members in your party who are athletes,... More

You will be assigned a group to tour with and sometimes it gets crowded so you might want to phone ahead to book a specific time. The success of the tour depends on your guide and who happens to be training at the facility. Summertime is many developmental camps for rising stars. You do get a sense of what the... More

We might have come on a rainy day, and the tour is mostly outside, but that is only a minor setback to the awesome experience we had! Tours are every 30 minutes and they each start out with an excellent 15 minute video. After the video, there is a 45 minute walking tour. We walked to all the different buildings,... More

The Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs is the place where elite athletes come to train, rehab, and renew their focus in preparing for the Olympic Games. Even though the Olympics are only every 4 years, the OTC is utilized by elite athletes year-round, every year. If you are a visitor to Colorado Springs and you are also a fan... More

The tour was very interesting even if it was crowded and we couldn't really hear the tour guide. What was amazing is how much time and effort the individuals spend training. We were able to see the junior mens volleyball team just have playtime and enjoy themselves. Our tour guide however seemed put out that we would rather watch them... More

I highly recommend doing the tour of the facility! Very interesting to see just how much work goes into the athletes in the olympics! Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had. It takes about an hour to do the whole tour but worth every bit of it!
