This property is a prime piece of real estate! General Palmer was wise to build his home here when he settled in Colorado Springs. Take advantage of their Tea served in the castle and the tour that goes along with it. If you're are lucky, you may see a herd of big horned sheep on the mountains surrounding the castle.... More

I'm so glad we did not miss this! It was very beautiful and full of history. The landscape is beautiful and you can have tea if you make reservations.

We always bring out-of-town friends here to see this incredible attraction. This is a castle built by General Palmer for his wife. They do offer tours, but we often just drive in (their is a gate guard and visitors are sometimes restricted when special events are happening, such as weddings) and get out an walk around. You can actually stay... More

Built by General Palmer, founder of Colorado Springs, to house his family in 1871 and it's in an amazing location adjacent to Garden of the Gods within the same rock formations that make up the park. Run by the Navigators now, the Castle is open for tours. The bookstore is great, with excellent coffee and pastries. Castle richly furnished and... More

My Christmas Present was a Yuletide Tea here with my Daughter. This was the most elegant tea I have ever attended. Highly recommended in this beautiful, Christian setting.

I went on a women's retreat at Glen Eyre Castle. At the castle you will see a small gift store and they also serve lunch items for sale. I visited the information desk and was given an information map. I followed the this map and it explained a brief history about the area and surrounding plants. I was also able... More

I have attended several events at the Castle, from a Volunteer Appreciation breakfast to afternoon tea. This is a beautiful building but you need to take a driving trip of the grounds as well. When Palmer created Colorado Springs, he built this castle for his wife, Queen. She never liked the wild west and spent most of her time back... More

Our bus group came here as a concluding activity for our tour...a mystery dinner fit for a king! It was a huge hit. We were shown a video and provided an overview about the founder as well as the current tenants, the Navigators. They are a group of Christians with very noble goals for how the property is to be... We took an hour-and-a-half tour of the castle and grounds. The history behind the construction of the complex, along with the history of the family that built it, is fascinating. Even the story about how the Navigators came to own the property is interesting. Well worth the price of admission. But make sure to plan ahead and make reservations. It's... More

Wonderful experience for our family this fall. We went in August 2016 and enjoyed a tea with lunch and then a tour of the castle that gave us a full day here. Glen Eyrie offers overnight packages and event packages. The history is rich and the new owners, The Navigators, do an excellent job telling the story and preserving what... More
