This places ROCKS! (HaHa) All kidding aside we enjoyed the 90 minute tour and the night in the castle. This place is full of history and very reasonably priced for the rooms. Staff is polite and very knowledgeable about the castle and surrounding areas. Breakfast outdoors with deer and sheep roaming around was great.

The firefighter exhibit at the beginning was completed out of context with the rest of the place but was the neatest part. It had some neat old stuff but not worth the time or money considering everything else the area has to offer.

Book ahead for a guided tour of this astoundingly beautiful historical castle. The guide was great and answered all our questions about the family that built the castle and the Indian history from the early 20th century. I am from Indiana and got a good laugh when the tour guide mentioned the limestone on the castle was brought "all the... More

My husband and I spent the night in the tower room and it was really nice. We had dinner in old Colorado City then hiked the next morning. When my parents went they saw big horn sheep in the morning, but we didn't see any. The tour is neat and the hiking that is open around the castle is gorgeous.... More

In town on business and rock formations are nice, but this is much better! You see a beautiful castle, learn 1900 history, and enjoy a nice tea in a lovely mountainous setting. The staff is all very gracious, and sweet. Learn about a skirted fireplace, walk down servant's stairs, explore the rooms, library, and grounds. I recommend the tour if... More

Historic home of General Palmer the founder of COS. Historically restored castle/home. Buildings and grounds are fantastic. Hiking and nature abounds. Great place to reach you inner spirit.

Glen Eyrie is set in a gorgeous location, close to Garden of the Gods. I love to come here just to be in a serene place. They have high tea, and some hiking trails nearby.

We heard about this place after taking a guided tour at Garden of the Gods. I would say we went slightly clueless as to what the place is & after being there I still am not entirely sure. Security seems pretty tight, just stopped into the small bookstore & then left.
