Dropped my truck off at the shop near Old Colorado City, and decided to wander the place. GOOD DECISION! My whole family is artistic, and this place has the galleries. Ceramics, fiber arts, paintings, photography . . . Navaho, Western, Rocky Mountains . . . inexpensive to "You've got to be kidding." Every time I visit the auto shop, I... More

This a unique place for visiting just to walk to the shops or to shop for unique gifts. Many are made by the local people and provide a special message to those who receive them

This was a great place to check out on a recent holiday to Colorado Springs. At first we thought it was a bit touristy and not particularly worthwhile, but Old Colorado City has a lot to offer and everyone we encountered was really lovely. There's a mix of souvenir shops, Mexican art and homewares, taxidermy, art and other bric-a-brac to... More

This district is comprised of easily walkable blocks filled with small one-of-a-kind shops and yummy independent restaurants. Chocolate shops, British ex-pat staples, pet treats and fashions, baskets, clothing, souvenirs, ice cream parlor... it's a delightful browsing experience! In the summer, Bancroft Park hosts a farmer's market. Not to be missed!

Old buildings with a lot of shopping. Best to enjoy while walking throughout the 8 blocks or so. A lot of restaurants as well.

This is a wonderful old-time town where there is something for everyone. Great unique restaurants abound as are pubs. My wife knits and loves the yarn shops in the town. The French bakery is also very good for their authentic French onion soup and breads. Oh, and did I mention their French desserts...to die for. There are a number of... More

Because it was winter a few of the displays weren't open but we have come to expect and accept that. The park was lovely and we did discover some eccentric little shops.

The scenery is amazing, the small businesses, the people, the amazing history, you could come to old Colorado city nearly every day for a year, and still find something new at the end of that year. Awesome food, great shops, and a rich deep history that is displayed on every corner. Great place to just go for a walk, get... More
