Absolutely has the potential to be the scene of an old western movie. I would drive through but walking around wasn't as charming as originally thought. Some TLC by cultural institutes would benefit greatly.

Don't waste your time visiting this historic town. First off we didn't see too much historical artifacts. The selection of stores was awful and there was nothing worth purchasing. However the restaurants there were very good, but that is the only reason to visit.

The two previous answers cover the situation except to say that there are some really good off the beaten path restaurants in the "Old" City.
