The tour was very informative in the History of the mine. We had a lot of loud demonstrators of how they drilled holes to make tunnels. Overall it was worth the trip down 1000 feet to see the mine. We have a whole lot of...More

The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The trip down 1000ft into the mine was tight and I would not recommend for anyone that is the least bit claustrophobic. The mine was well lit once out of the elevator. Took about an hour and...More

Great tour. Don't pass it by. Took us 1000ft down into the mine. It was tight in the elevator but it was quick. Tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and was a former miner himself. Took about an hour. Was well worth the money. They...More

Admittedly, I have driven past this place a few times, and always thought it was a "tourist trap" and would be cheesy. Well, this year, with our two teens along on the trip, we needed more activity, so we decided to give it a try,...More

I have never visited any mines, so I was amazed by this gold mine tour. You get into small, 2-level elevator to go 1000 feet underground. The guides are good and show you how miners worked in old days and how it progressed thru history....More

Long drive for the tour but scenery along the drive was beautiful. The tour was very good and informative. No discounts on the tickets and expect to tip the tour guide.

I wasn't sure about this trip. It was to take you 1000ft below surface. We were squished tightly into a cage 7 of us in our cage. I tried to get a pick but again it was squished, to get to the bottom, but wow...More

Very interesting and informative tour. Our guide Harley had answers to all our questions and he was super knowledgeable about mining in the Cripple Creek area. The ride down to the mine is not for anyone who hates tight places but it only takes a...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the gold mine tour at Mollie Kathleen's. The gift shop is quaint and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide was great! He really knew how to keep the attention of our 4 and 6 yr olds. He demonstrated several...More

We had a lot of fun on the gold mine tour. You have to squeeze into a cage elevator and go down 1,000 feet underground. It's really interesting to learn the history. Our tour guide, Harley, was very knowledgeable.

You will enter and exit the mine by an authentic mine elevator. It is small and you will be packed in like sardines. I'm not exaggerating. It's okay though, because the ascent and descent are quick. Once in the mine you... More
