Comedy Works has been Denver's premier destination for the very best in stand-up comedy since 1981. As one of the nation's true comedy landmarks, we routinely attract the country's top comedians.

We also enjoy a strong reputation for developing new acts and fostering a talented base of local comedians. Many of our homegrown acts have become major forces in the national comedy scene, appearing on Comedy Central, The Tonight Show, Craig Ferguson, and Last Comic Standing, which our very own Josh Blue won.

We love coming to Comedy Works Denver becuase their calendar is always full of really spectacular national acts. Seeing these comics in a small and intimate room is such a treat.

Went last Saturday nite with my son & laughed till we cried! Some of the material was edgy & not exactly what you want to hear with your adult son, but funny funny. It's a really tight squeeze with seating & you have to purchase 2 drinks per person - bottled water does not count!!!

Friday nights are hard everybody is exhausted after a long week but the early show is a great way to end your week and still be home by 10pm ( only if you want to ! ) You can make reservations at Lucy's up stairs or eat in show room. We opted for showroom this time but will try Lucy's... More

We visited Comedy Works to see Michael Yo. HILARIOUS!! Truly great entertainment. The establishment itself was pretty cramped. You have the 2 item minimum per seat, which is fine, but if you order food there is literally no place to put it. You just have to hold it while you eat and hope you don't make a huge mess on... I like the way they use a theater type of row seating. I think you can see better than sitting at the typical tables you see in comedy clubs. There are cup holders on every other chair and I think it would be difficult to eat without a table. The staff was attentive, quick and friendly, however, I do suggest... More

After waiting in line for 45 minutes, they refused to let us in even though I saw my name on his list. We had called ahead to get resrrvation and planned to use the admit two gift card we won at refugee silent auction. His explanation was that he had given our seats away to people who had bought tickets... More

I liked the venue. It was a bit cozy though. Yes, they have a two item minimum per person which I think is unnecessary. I had a cucumber martini. It was pretty good. The opening act was much funnier than the main act (Joe Zimmerman). That kinda sucked. I guess if you have a comedian come through, it's certainly a... More

I am still not sure how they knew who ordered two drinks and who did not but it's a policy that they do enforce so don't think you can save cash by byo. We saw Tom Segura and it was nice to be able to be that close to the stage. The venue itself makes for a more intimate setting... More

The club is so perfectly put together that it attracts top of the line acts. It's one of the best places to see comedy in the world and I'm happy I got to see a show here.

First it was in a basement. They sat us behind a pillar which supported the upper floor. There was little if any ventilation. The seats were small, designed more for children. The poor fellow in front of me was heavy set and only half of him was on the chair. I kept hitting him with my foot as I tried... More
