The central branch of the Denver Public Library is an outstanding civic asset. It has every type of media one would expect in a 21st Century facility. The building is large, modern and well-organized. Beyond the obvious books, movies, etc. the Library runs a number of programs and special events. The staff is uniformly superior, professional, friendly and helpful. This... More

This is a large library. Much to offer. They are in the process of upgrading their technology in many of the rooms. This will bring them up to modern standards and make for a memorable experience. What they have now is good. What they will have will be better.

I almost always stop here when in Downtown Denver. Must have quarters for the street parking meters!

DPS is not only a great library, it has a fabulous Western History section complete with historic photos and old Sanborn maps.. great for research for those of us that are working in Colorado communities with a rich history.

the architecture alone is worth seeing. you can pick up a guide to the building at the info desk, and give yourself a tour through the building, stopping to peer out the windows at the art museum next door. Peek in the ideaLAB on the 4th floor and make sure to stop on level 7 to see the table where... More

This is certainly a beautiful building worth seeing, and if you're in the area there's plenty of seating to kick back for a while, but as a resident the Denver Public Library system makes it so easy to get materials sent to your local branch that there isn't a whole lot of reason to go here.

This is the flagship library for the Denver Public Library system. It has plenty of space and lots of materials including a huge movie and music section. I'd pick another branch for computer labs if you can. The smell of bad hygine can be pretty unpleasant.
