The Denver Library is in the midst of it all on Broadway. Close to Civic Center Park and museums. It's worth a stop in to browse and wander. Certainly other cities have libraries with better architecture in Seattle, but it's a nice spot to wander...More

Don't miss making a visit here. There is much to see including valuable maps, displays and books, newspapers and magazines. The staff is dedicated to making this a real resource for the entire community. There is even a small cafe.

Visiting the Public Library was serendipity - we needed to kill some time before a tour at 1:30. What fun in this great modern space: check out the automated book return, roam the new arrivals and check out the sly grouping of book displays.

Go to the top to see the room with the round table if you like history for the meeting between different countries. It had a very nice view of Denver. Other than that the library was big but pretty standard.

If in need of a book, I would stay away and use inter loan system that is available at your neighborhood library. Why this has been allowed to become a hangout for the tired, hungry, cold, hot and ill is beyond me.
