It's a free tour. Who doesn't love that?? Our guide was great. He made the tour really entertaining. It's such a beautiful building, inside and out. Being from Florida, the climb up was a bit tough, but it was worth it. The views from the top cannot be beat.

Colorado State Senator Owen Hill graciously hosted BSA Troop 260, Castle Rock, CO. Enjoyed a senate discussion about citizenship requirements for LEA and took in a fine tour of the Capitol.

I was there to give a presentation but took the time to look around. There was so much to see! The artwork, the history, the atmosphere. You can feel it all around you.

I love going to see the capitol. The top is made of Gold and it is compactly breath taking. If you go during the day there is a place to sit (park like) to eat lunch: there are near by dining places to get food as well - 16th Street Mall is right there. Take the time to go inside... More

The State Capital is both a tourist site and a working symbol of the state government. There are free tours (well worth the time) that tell visitors about Colorado's history as well as the legislative process.

They have many different exhibits on CO. You can self tour or you can sign up for a tour guide. For security you can now only use one entry door.

Every Coloradan should take te opportunity to visit the Colorado State Capitol. The beautiful building (at 5280 feet above sea level) houses the legislature and the office of the Governor. Beautiful stairwells with glowing brass and exceptional artwork adorn the interior of the building. Stain glass is found in many of the chambers and conference rooms depicting Colorado history. You... More

The building is intentionally reminiscent of the United States Capitol. Therefore, it is very beautiful and impressive. The building is magnificent inside out. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and thus we learnt many interesting things about the building like the construction of the dome, Mile High Marker, the use of Colorado Rose Onyx. I was also impressed with its... More

Other than the homeless and bird poo, this area is really nice for its architectural elements and its vantage point to the rest of the city. Nice views, open green, great location.
