Delightful visit to the Denver Zoo. It offers interesting and informative programs. We were anxious to see if they still had Okapi, an animal native to the Congo in Africa. Chocolate to reddish brown in color, they have stripes like a Zebra but are more...More

Our family loves the Denver zoo, we go there every few weeks. Yes, they have lions, tigers and bears, even a baby giraffe but they have so many other things to see. The historic carousel, the train, the kids play area with sand box, rocks...More

My parents and I enjoyed visiting the Denver Zoo on Thursday Oct. 5th, 2017. This was our first time being in Colorado, as we are from out of state. We were visiting from St. Louis, MO. We had a good time at the Denver Zoo!...More

Pretty big zoo...sometimes the walkways didn't make a lot of sense in the direction they were flowing...but hey...it's a zoo and and you should be able to get to everything you want to see in time.

The zoo is laid out in a huge circle. We had alot of fun and the weather was nice. There were alot of school on field trips with very small children.

This zoo had a good mix of animals and the dinosaur exhibit was happening while we were there. The zoo seemed cleaner than most we've been to. We went during the week, so it was not very crowded. Free parking was nice too.

Not all people are thrilled these days about zoos. But the Denver Zoo was quite impressive. Great variety of animals. First time I have seen a grizzly bear up close. You will enjoy it. Give yourself at least 3 hours minimum.

We travel to the Denver area to visit our grandchildren and always take them to the Denver Zoo. It's a full day, a lot of walking, but a wonderful way to spend the day with these boys!

I think they do have a policy that is tied to the city and county for delays but you would have to ask them.

I don't know if the day of week matters. I went on a Tuesday and was fairly busy with groups of day camp kids. It is better to go early in day as many animals were hiding out from the hot afternoon sun.
