We visited the exhibit on western art including movies. I really enjoyed the beautiful sculptures. We only had two hours, so we didn't explore other exhibits. This museum would take an entire day to view.

The organization of this museum was delightful. Rather than "British Art 1800's", it was "Portraiture" with a range of cultures and periods. There were interactive activities and not just for children. Also quite a few comfortable chairs in which to enjoy tablet videos about works.

You can't go wrong visiting the DAM while in Denver. Check for traveling exhibits & plan to get tickets. Amazing!
My wife and I visited while in Denver. The Western exhibit was excellent and worth the up-cost. Some of the other temporary exhibits were somewhat questionable and really didn't seem worth the time however the permanent exhibits were quite enjoyable.

An interesting building with an odd mixture of topics covered. However, a must see is the native american and central/south American galleries.
