Visited the DAM with my 7 year old twins while their other siblings were out of town and they LOVED it. The museum is free for kids and they have a neat activity set up for kids. You can check out a backpack for each exhibit and the kids complete activities to learn about the artifacts being viewed. There were... More

Free on first Saturdays, and always free for kids, we can bring the family here once a month, and have us all exposed to a first-rate art experience, without it costing us anything. The kids were engaged by the interactive displays, and we enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy the art without the pressure of having it cost us a bunch... More

We had just two hours available for our spur of the moment visit. At the time, there was an exhibit of Renaissance art from Venice. We've seen our share of this genre, but we had a look anyway since we had honeymooned in Venice many years ago. It was an impressive exhibit, and brought back many fond memories. However the... I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. The show-case exhibit, on the top (seventh) floor, is a well laid out collection of painting and sculptures of western themes. When in Rome... On every floor, there are special discovery stations where children (maybe ages 8-15?) can do hands-on projects related to the art on that floor. I wish I'd had something... More

We went primarily for the Star Wars Costume exhibit. It was amazing! Well organized. Also ate in the dining in restaurant in the museum.

This museum has a really nice variety of art for how small it is. It also has tons of interactive kid actvities stationed in every gallery. They also give a Colorado resident discount and kids are free which is really great.

A neat piece of architecture. the permanent collection has some excellent pieces of western art. Be sure to cross the second floor bride and go up to the top of the second building, that is where the best stuff is :) Also several floors have nice library's. It would be a good place to sit and work/study.

I enjoy visiting the Denver Art Museum. I find the exhibits to be creative and tasteful. One can see a lot in one visit without having to rush. The temporary exhibits are interesting and a great reason to return on a regular basis.

Great spot. Will be back soon. We didn't have enough time to do what we would've liked to do, which was read and observe everything lol! Aaaaand the Denver public library is right across the street! Win-win situation!

Cold day, we decided to go to a museum and there just happened to be a star wars exhibit about the costumes. The Star wars exhibit ends in march. It was a big museums with lots of different types of art. There are alot of things you can interact with too. Fun museum.
