A colleague and I decided to go one day after work and I wish we had decided to go earlier in the week. There was so much to see and do! We decided which areas we wanted to visit first and were off! This is a must see. Equally amazing is the gift shop. I spend a lot of money... More

Great art museum for young and old alike. Plenty for everyone of all ages to enjoy! Short walk from 16th street mall. Next to the Public Library. We saw the Women of Abstract Expressionism exhibit. there was a stop-motion exhibit where kids (and adults) could create different stop motion films, make puppets and more!

The Denver Art Museum is a great place to visit. It's incredibly kid friendly and is free the first Saturday of the month. We saw the Women of Abstract Expressionism exhibit -- well worth the admission price. Make time to view the building from the outside.

This is much more than just an art museum because it combines art with culture. I was amazed at the depth of the collection, especially the Native American collection. Every section had at least one piece that you went, "Wow!" The emphasis on encouraging children's creativity is impressive. There are areas throughout the museum with hands-on activities for kids.

We only had time to take in the section on European and American paintings but the selected works were displayed in a thematic way that made a lot of sense and taught me things I had not previously understood, especially regarding the evolution of medieval painting styles.

This was my second visit to this museum. Enjoyed it then and now. There are exhibitions from all continents, from different eras. Cool thing for the summer, in every floor, there is a corner for children to play, touch, experiment, create... So, it's fun for families!

Our family loves going to the museum. I really like the Colorado photography art exhibit (sorry, I don't know the name). That, along with the European art exhibit, are my favorites.

The Denver Art Museum has an unusual and eclectic collection that is well presented. Their Americas art and artifacts were particularly interesting.

We are members of this museum having found it to be so wonderful. The manner in which the art works are exhibited is great and the special exhibits which they have much of the time always interesting. There is a garage next to the museum making parking very easy. The layout of the sections is easy to navigate with special... More

I rated this a four rather than a five because a number of exhibits were closed (including the entire top floor) during our visit, and some sculpture galleries and individual horse sculptures we were interested in seeing had been moved to the Botanic Garden across town (unbeknownst to the docent who told our group to be sure to look for...
