Great drive and great sites. Yes be careful to plan ahead to know how long the trip is and consider bringing food along.

Beautiful view. You can access this even in the winter. Cool and comfortable in the summer and windy in the winter. Driving conditions can be hard in the winter.

Love going on this scenic byway especially since they finished the road construction. Always great to get out of your car near the lake and hike or snowshoe.

Lovely scenic drive just outside Denver. We packed a picnic and fishing poles and made numerous stops along the way to take pictures with the Mountain Goats, (unsuccessfully) fish in the lake, have a picnic and hike around a bit. Remember to bring warm clothes, its a lot colder up there than in the city.

Very colorful fall drive with many, many hills of colorful aspens. Road goes up to Mt. Evans and subapline terrain.
