If a billionaire let you into his house for a tour of his private art collection, you would be foolish to say no. This collection tells the story of the American West and contains a wonderful collection of artists and works. The audio tour is excellent and included in the $5 price.

We had an hour to view this museum and could easily have spent 2 or 3 hours here if we had the time. Very beautiful and extensive collection of western art covering about 200 years and many different styles and subjects of paintings. Beautifully displayed. Audio tour very helpful. We loved it and will be back. Be sure to check... More

I was in Denver for a business trip and while out walking around the city noticed a unique little building amongst the towers. Luckily the museum was open and I was able to take a tour back in time to view an impressive collection of early western art. My favorite paintings depicted the artists positive observations of tribal ceremonies and... More

Delightful intimate museum and very friendly staff. Many excellent paintings, especially struck by first large scene on R entering 2nd floor by Dodge.

Nicely displayed and with an excellent audio guide, this museum will blow you away with the depth and quality of the art. Also, located in a wonderful Victorian building in the heart of Denver, really a must visit for anyone interested in the... More

Very interesting to see art that was made in the 1800-1990's. The audio portion of the tour gives background to the artist's history and where the art was derived from.

Husband is a history department chair and saw several original works of art that he has shown pictures of in class. Very impressed with the portrait of George Washington

Phenomenal collection of western art Tucked away on a side street about a block and a half east of the 16th street mall in an area otherwise full of offices and stores, is one of the most phenomenal little museums of Western American art in the country. Admittedly, visiting isn’t easy. The museum has limited opening hours and requires a... More
