Hop aboard a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive that travels along the same railroad tracks that miners, cowboys and the early settlers of the Old West used over a hundred years ago. The route winds in and out of canyons and past open wilderness affording great views. The price of a ticket also includes admission to the D&SNGRR Museum and the Silverton Freight Yard Museum.

Had a great time visiting the museum. Like being able to climb on board the cars and engines. And, riding the train from Durango to Silverton was great. Thanks.

Great way to experience how it was in the old day’s. Rocking, slow and somewhat uncomfortable. If you’re a full figured girl or guy not much room in the seat. Hard to take pictures but we still managed to see some awesome scenery. Staff were...More

Enjoy the snow cap mountains with the rugged rocks and the Aspen trees starting to erupt in bright green leaves for Summer. Amazing train ride.
