Walking along the colors of fall on both sides of the river trail is a very enjoyable and easy morning stroll to see downtown Durango in the eyes of nature and not as a tourist. Enjoy!
Went for morning runs from downtown (2 blocks) along the river. Both directions beautiful. Weather was very nice even in August.
You can walk along the town of Durango, a small park. There are a couple of bridges to walk over the river. Very calm, quiet, relaxing. Highly recommend
I walk the trail every morning when I am in Durango. It is very peaceful. Beware of the bears early in the morning

Took a nice walk after a long day on the road. Nice walk and not overly crowded. We did not do the whole trail because of time we arrived. What we saw was very nice.
