We love their pool, it is full of water activities for younger children. It also has an outdoor area "to escape". It is very suited for families that have children, big open restrooms w showers, changing areas with lockers. Also has a climbing wall w great instructors!

Drop in for a day pass and enjoy the swimming, rock wall, basketball, pickle ball, handball, walking track, and machines to stay in shape on your vacation to Durango. Jump on the Animas Trail after your workout at the Rec. Center and walk or ride that bike for 7 miles along the shimmering Animas River in the heart of Durango.

This place meets everyone's needs for health and fitness. There are fitness classes, clean pools, rock climbing, tons of equipment etc. We would grive 75 miles each way in the summer so my kids could play in their fun pool.

This community pool has a great area for the kids, a large pool for adult lap swims and two diving boards. Every time we stay in Durango, even though the hotel has a pool the kids always want to go here. We usually go out into the mountains early and come back in time to get a few hours of... More

I go to the Rec Center 2-4 times a day and it is almost always busy although that isn't an issue most of the time. Most of what I do are swim laps, water therapy, or classes upstairs. There is a huge variety of things to do.

I'm an older lady who loves water slides. The one at the aquatic center is wonderful. They also have a lazy river and a serious whirlpool that feels like it could suck you under, except it won't. The lap lanes are much cooler than the play-pools so you don't get overheated. I didn't use the rest of the center but... More

We came here to use their shower facility ($6) as we were camping nearby at Haviland Lake. It was wonderful. Place is big with all kinds of activities. There was a nice river trail behing complex.
