Best part of the trip!

This was our second time to visit Platte Ranch. It was the best part of our trip! We did the half day ride with Tigger. Would absolutely recommend this ranch!

We had a wonderful experience at Platte Ranch. The staff were very friendly and made us feel totally relaxed around the horses. The trail was breathtaking with beautiful views. The guides let you ride side by side vs. always being in a line. They also let experienced riders gallop with their horses. We have done horse rides on many vacations... More

From the first time riding with the Platte Ranch a couple years ago, to our most recent ride yesterday, it is guides and owner Amy that keeps us coming back. Our teenage kids love riding here. They are the Best, and we HIGHLY recommend them.

8000 acres and "free range" horses: what more could a rider of any ability want. The guides round up a variety of horses and prepare them for the trip. Your horse is selected on your riding ability (good, fair, poor.) Everyone ready? Everyone mounts with the help of a guide and then off you go. The horses know what they... More

Amazing experience! The wranglers are so interesting, informative, and fun to spend time with. The horse selected for each rider is personalize to suit individual riding abilities. This is not your typical trail ride, nose to tail, up and back. These horses want to be ridden, respond very well to rein commands, some can't wait to spread their wings. The... More

They do not have a website, so don't waste your time looking! They are old school, and totally awesome. I had called a week prior to set up a 4 hour ride for my husband and myself, told them we were not expert riders in the least, and kept our fingers crossed. Our expectations were more than met, and had... More

Perfect weather, great guides, who could ask for more. We chose this place based on previous reviews and we can confirm that they are accurate. Everyone was friendly and informative. Plus, I got a few pointers on riding which is always a plus. Although my wife and I are fairly competent riders, there were some in our group who were... More

Had a 13 person group and the staff was so friendly and accommodating! We had all different levels of experience and they had a horse that fit each persons level. The views were amazing, and the open space was incomparable to any other place we've ever ridden. Got to trot and canter if we wanted, some did, some didn't, and... More

This was the best ride I have had on a vacation. The guides were fantastic. They actually let us cantor and they do not ride nose to tail. It was a very scenic ride along the middle fork of the river. To get there from FairPlay, highway 285 to highway 9 and it is 6 miles on the right on... More
