The town has been recreated with buildings from the era. So many hidden gems in the houses and shops. Newspapers on the wall, vacuum cleaner (hand cranked ) bottles that at one point held pills that could cure all your ills....so many fun things to...More

Self guided walk through about 20 small 1860 buildings with time period displays and variety of businesses as would have been in an 1860 town - some on original site and some rescued and moved in to form a "town". Short movie, brochure with numbered...More

The price is a little high, but the whole thing was interesting and historic so I think helping maintain it with a ticket price is good. Just wish it was a little lower. I think my party had fun going through all the buildings and...More

This place brings back those memories of the old West (not really your memories, but from all those 1950s westerns you have watched). Many authentic buildings give you an idea of what towns in this part of the world were like a century and more...More

We put off visiting South Park City until the afternoon of our very last day in Fairplay - and I wish we hadn't. I would have loved to spend more time inside this very excellent museum. The drugstore alone is worth the price of admission.

Great family fun at South Park City. Walk through an old Wild West town with residences, shops, mines, churches and it concludes at a gift shop. Wild West shootouts on special occasions.

Children love this place! Fascinating for adults of all ages. Many exhibits are outdoors, and it looks like a street from the past. Well worth the stop!

I was thinking a bunch of old buildings, but found so much museum quality information and artifacts I spent 2+ hours. Since it is recent past there are an incredible number of real period artifacts, with explanations. Don't drive by this, stop and spend a...More
